Yay Yay Yay! I found out how to post my pictures bigger and I am so happy! This was an experiment so sorry about the random picture. It was from Sundance last year so let's just say I am posting it to give everyone hope for spring!!!!

Shawn is going to be very mad that I actually posted this picture but I can't help it. Gunnar came running up the stairs in this outfit, laughing so hard at himself. He thinks he is so funny, and he really is. Now that he is going to have a big sister and a little sister, we are going to have to try extra hard to get this boy camping and doing manly things!

We love a good zoo day! Especially in January! Denver can be 60 degrees one day and a blizzard the next. We took advantage of this nice day to go hang out with friends and do one of our favorite things!

Gunnar started a soccer class with his buddy Charlie and it is one of the funniest things I have ever seen! These two boys are hilarious! Can you believe that they are only 10 months apart in age? Charlie is the fastest little guy I have ever seen. It is no wonder that his mother is so skinny because he is hard to catch! Gunnar worships his coach and loves to help out. I even noticed him teaching the whole class how to to do the robot the other day. He is quite the character.

Polar Express

Seriously Polar Express. You are such a fun experience and really bring the Christmas Spirit, but if you are going to charge an arm and a leg, could Santa at least cover his real mustache.

I don't think that I am asking for much. It would just add to the experience if your kids really thought you were going to see the real Santa. Call me crazy. I guess I can't really complain since we got our tickets for free. Babe got to work three nights on the Polar Express so we went on a test run. Hopefully they worked out this kink before the paying customers went for a ride!

Thanksgiving in Utah!

Rider (Andy) has grown a new healthy head of hair! He wears fake tattoo sleeves every second so that nobody can poke him with needles anymore. His cancer is gone and he is doing so great! He loves to beat Babe and Father at Yahtzee and Uno. Seriously, a couple of words of warning. If you play a game with Ryder, let him win. If you call him Andy, prepare to get yelled at or mooned. And if you are Gunnar, never call Rider a poo head. I don't think that needs an explanation.

We had so much fun at Thanksgiving. Grace and Gunnar found out that they were going to be big brother and big sister and they were so excited! I should say they are so excited! We went to the local Nutcracker production which was so sweet and wonderful! We got to visit with lots of family as well. Aunt Kris, Babe, and P Pa made the best Thanksgiving dinner I think I have ever had! We also got to go to Polar Express and I will be posting some pictures of that as well.

November brought a highly anticipated event for

Gracie and I! We got to go to Wicked with our good
friend Lindsey and it did not disappoint! Grace now

has everyone in her class calling her Elphaba and has

every word to the soundtrack memorized. We cannot

wait for it to come back. Gunnar wants to join us next time and I just might let him considering he knows most of the words now too!

Okay! So sorry for the months and months of no posting. I do not know what my problem is. This is how scrapbooking went for me too. I jumped on the bandwagon in the beginning and then not only fizzled out, but detested it. So someone help me to love blogging. My poor children need some memories of their childhood recorded besides 5000 random pictures. Okay. Here goes. I am going to change my attitude. Gunnar is OBSESSED with dressing up! His favorite character to be is Indiana Jones. I am seriously loving it. He loves to wear his pajamas unbuttoned halfway so he looks like Indy. When he is with his best friend/fighting partner, he loves to be Superman. I just cannot get over the differences between my little girl and my little boy. They both crack me up!

Rider

I know I haven't blogged in forever but I just wanted to say how grateful I am to everyone for all of their prayers and love during our scary time with Andy (or Rider as he likes to be called) in the hospital. It was so nice to have such wonderful friends that dropped everything at a moment's notice so that I could go to Utah and help my parents out. And it was so amazing to be with Rider for four days and see how he miraculously felt better so quickly. This can only be because of everyone's prayers and Heavenly Father being so willing to bless such an amazing person like Rider. All of the snakes and other presents he received from everyone really helped his attitude and made him feel so special. He is the most inspiring person I have ever seen and I feel so happy that I could go spend so much time with him! He is on his 8th week of chemo already and is responding really well to the treatments. He goes into the hospital every Wednesday saying "I LOVE CHEMO" so I can only imagine how his attitude is helping others going through the same process. We had such a fun time over Christmas with him watching our UTES in the best bowl game ever! Anyways, thank you thank you thank you friends and family! We love you all!

Gracie got her ears pierced!

I am so proud of Grace! She said she wanted to get her ears pierced and was dead set on doing it. Once we got there however, and she was in the seat, and her ears were prepped, and she had a girl with a gun on each side of her, she decided she wanted to wait until she was 8. But even after being scared, she decided to follow through and she couldn't be happier! I can't believe how grown up she is getting!

We had originally planned on Disneyland but Grace wanted to go to Hollywood instead. Scary. We compromised on the San Diego zoo which was fun but tiring. It was probably 90 degrees and we were all a little sunburned from the beach. I didn't bring Gunnar's stroller so by the end of the day I was carrying him to the car. Not easy when your 2 year old weighs 42 pounds. It was still a pretty fun day but I think next year we'll do Hollywood. Hannah Montana here we come!

So as we were getting ready for the game, Grace picked her outfit out hoping that she would get on the jumbo tron. Whenever there were people on the jumbo tron, Grace would dance like crazy and jump up and down. Everyone around us was laughing and just thinking "whatever kid." When all of a sudden we look up and we were all on the jumbo tron. It pretty much made Grace's life. She was ready to sign autographs as we left the stadium. I don't know if Gunnar loved the game more, or the ice cream sandwich that Grandma Ruth got him.

So I obviously went waaay overboard on pictures here but I really could not pick which ones I wanted to post! We had the funnest week at the beach house my mom rented in Newport Beach. I have not relaxed like that in six years! I am really proud of myself because I even got a little tan. If you know my mom, you would know that even at my tannest I am still an albino next to her. But for the first time in my life I was able to stay on the beach as long as she did! We are talking eight hours a day people. Add El Cholo to the mix and I would say it was a little bit of paradise. We seriously ate Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You think I am exaggerating but you do not know how good enchiladas can be at 9 am.

The kids had so much fun! My cousins and my aunt and Grandma came down to play a couple of days while we were there and it was so fun to hang out with them. My grandma is the funnest person to be around and can make me laugh harder than anyone! My cousins were the best babysitters and I felt like I did not even see my kids the whole day because they were so entertained! My cousin Miranda is Grace's age and they played so well together and I seriously HATE writing on my blog because I sound like such an idiot. This is for you Heather

I know this might be a little shocking. I have posted 3 times in one week. I have actually used words as well as pictures. I have to say that I am pretty darn proud of myself. But that isn't what this post is about. This part might not be shocking but once again it is about Grace and Gunnar. I can't help it they just crack me up. Today was a long day of trying to get things in order. By the end of the day I was spent, but it appeared that I was the only one. Gunnar filled up the bathtub to the point of near disaster. I am not kidding there was about a quarter of an inch leeway before the levees gave way. After his bath I was ready for him to go to bed. Now in a moment of desperate parenting (basically trying to watch So You Think You Can Dance in peace) I got on my hands and knees and using a leatherman, I switched the doorknob so that I could actually lock my kids in their room. Are you shocked? It probably wasn't the best idea considering the fact that Gunnar managed to lock himself, Grace, and the babysitter in the room. She had to ask a passing neighbor to come in and unlock the door. A little embarrassing and probably safe to assume she will never want to babysit for me again. Anyways, back to my great idea of changing the doorknob. I usually just use it to threaten Gunnar so that he will stay in his bed at bedtime. Tonight I used the threat and it actually worked. I got Grace's hair in curlers and cleaned up and was pretty proud of myself. Until I went to check on Gunnar and found him in the hallway fast asleep on the hardwood floor. I guess I wasn't the only one that was spent after all!

We Love Strawberries!

We had such a fun day in Watsonville picking strawberries. We set out for our adventure with some fun friends, some big baskets, and some empty stomachs. The only rule that they gave us was to put two strawberries in the basket, for every one we put in our mouths. It was such a fun morning!

When we got home, Grace made this adorable crown for Gunnar. I don't know who was more excited about it. Oh actually I do, it for sure was Grace.

We had a fun day in Vail with Babe and P-pa. They decided last minute to ride the motorcycle over for a couple of days. It was so fun to have a fun surprise and get to meet them in the mountains for breakfast.

Sorry about the blurry picture but here's how our week has been. Gunnar started out with a cough on Monday. After 2 1/2 hours in the doctors office trying to get his oxygen up, they sent us to the ER. It was deja vu from last year when he had RSV although much better because I actually knew what I was doing this time. He has bronchitis verging on pneumonia and is on steroids, antibiotics, and the nebulizer three times a day. We also found out that he has asthma so he will actually continue the nebulizer twice a day. The medicine makes my already hyper little guy, twice as hyper. But it is pretty entertaining. He was following me around this week saying "Hold you, Hold you!" while he was reaching up for me. I finally picked him up and said, "Gunnar, you are driving me crazy!" He put both arms around me, gave me a cheesy fake smile, and said, "I wub you too." So that pretty much sums it up.

I haven't posted forever and I have been busy stalking other people's blogs and feeling a little guilty. I am torn right now between Hannah Montana and the computer. Grace decided to wear a dress from last year that was a little too small but...1. did not itch, and 2. reminded her of Belle's winter dress. So that is who she is in case you were wondering. Doesn't baby Abigail look comfortable? Grace got to hold her cousin Jessica's baby when they came to visit and she was pumped! I loved the look on Grace's face the whole time she held the baby. She was so proud of herself. She definetely loves her some babies!

An Ode to Microfiber

O.K. Gunnar is so fun! I was on the computer for literally 5 minutes and I foolishly thought that the silence from the other room was based on Gunnar's enjoyment of the Polar Express. Gunnar was enjoying something, it just wasn't the Polar Express. That's right, this is what sixteen eggs cracked on your couch and floor look like. I don't recommend it. I can say that Sofa Mart was right when they said you can get anything out of microfiber!

Grace has informed me that I don't know very much about fairies. She on the other hand is a fairy expert! Everyone at school knows her as the fairy girl! She left some candy under her pillow for the candy fairy so she could get a board game. I think the candy fairy was busy that night!

I cannot figure out how to turn this picture around but you get the picture. Grace and Gunnar absolutely love Andy to death. Grace and Andy would play in the ocean together for hours while Babe would lay on the beach and get even darker than she already was. The best was when Gunnar only wanted to sit on Andy's lap at the Shamu show. I don't know who was more fun to watch.

Here are Gracie and Gunnar at the beach. We had so much fun on our trip with Babe and Andy. We ate El Cholo for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nothing like a Mexican Casserole to start your day off right! Gunnar had a double ear infection that only Annie and Daddy Warbucks could soothe so we spent many hours driving around the beach.

Gunnar loved the tractor in Idaho. We had a fun vacation this May. We started out on our trip with a twelve hour drive to Montana. Then we had another twelve hour drive through Yellowstone and Ashton to get to Boise. We finally ended up in Utah for a few days before heading back to Denver. Fun!
